A pathetic attempt at gardening

Today I attempted to make the front yard look nice. I went to the flower place with my friend Becky (who knows a lot more about plants than I do) and we got some flowers for my yard. All I know about gardening is that you dig holes in the ground, put the plants in, then put the dirt back. This was my plan today, but it turned out to be a lot harder than I thought. I have to move approximately 100 metric tons of mulch out of the way to plant these flowers, then there were all these worms that got caught in the crossfire between my mini gardening shovel and the ground. Then, after I finished planting everything, butterflies started attacking me and my plants. I am very afraid of butterflies (have always been, probably always will be). They're like freaky flying flowers- and they can't even get the flying part right because they don't even fly straight. Anyway, I am proud of myself for accomplishing a great gardening feat today.

It looks good, Hayley! Just don't forget to water, feed, and dead-head the flowers and it should grow into a really amazing garden!
